Subject.- Advertisement Notice for the post of Constable Executive, Armed/IRP, 

HG/CD/SDRF in Ladakh Police. 

Online applications are invited from eligible Residents of Union territory of 

Ladakh for the post of Constable Executive, Armed/IRP, HG/CD/SDRF in Ladakh 

Police against (213) vacancies in the Pay Level-2 (19900-63200). 

 The detailed terms and conditions with regards to eligibility, educational qualification, age, physical standards, desired qualifications, mode of recruitment, reservation, quota in recruitment etc are as follows.-


Written examination (objective type):- All candidates who have qualified  the physical measurement test and who’s documents / testimonials have been scrutinized and found correct shall be put through a written examination which shall be of 80 minutes duration. The written exam will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions and each question carrying 01 mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The question paper for written exam will be in English only. The question paper shall be of matriculation level. The syllabus for the examination is as follows.

General Knowledge : 60 Marks.

Current affairs related to, national and international issues.

 Awareness of the events and developments in society.

 India: History, Indian Freedom Movement, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity and Constitution.

 Awards and Honors: General awareness and current affairs.

 Sports: General awareness and current affairs.

 Gender and Weaker Sections: Sensitivity, and General awareness.

 Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large.

 Common Abbreviations.

 Current Technological Developments in India.

 Ladakh: History, Art and Culture, geography and current affairs.

Reasoning : 15 Marks.

Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Spatial ,Orientation, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual ,Memory, Coding-Decoding, Non-Verbal Series, Number Series, Alphabet ,Series, Number Ranking.

Science: 10 Marks.

Basic principles of General Science and Life Science (up to 10th Class).

Arithmetic abilities: 15 Marks.

Number System, Simple Interest, Average, Ratio and Proportion,

Percentage, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Clocks and Calendars, Mensuration, Problems on L.C.M and H.C.F., Simple Equations, Square Roots, Bar & Graphs, Data Interpretation.

. Reservation.- 

The reservation under this Advertisement Notification shall

be applicable in accordance with the provisions of the Union territory of

Ladakh Reservation Rules amended vide SO 14 dated 23rd April 2020.

6. Quota.- 

Quota for Outstanding Sports Person, Special Police Officer

(SPO) and Voluntary Home Guard (VHG) shall be applicable in

accordance with the provisions of the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules, 2021.

7. The last date for submission of online application form shall be 30 days

from the date of activation of the link. The date of activation of the link, fee applicable and the instructions for filling the online application form will be notified separately.

8. The number of vacancies notified is tentative.

9. The selected candidates shall be required to undergo the Basic

Recruitment Training Course.

10. The recruitment shall be subject to the provisions of Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules, 2021 and any Standing Order issued under the provisions of the said Rules.

11. The candidates shall have to appear in the prescribed tests at their own

expense on the date and venue to be notified by the Ladakh Police

(Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board.

  The story of Chiktan Khar. After the death of Gasho Tha Tha Khan many of his decendent ruled Sot, Chiktan and Pashkyum. The ruler Kẖokẖor Baghram (1535– 1550) entered into agreements with the Ladakhís gyalpo and sent his second son, Tsering Mālik , to Chiktan, as his governor.
