The Unfinished Love "The Story of Mr. Khan".

A Tale from Ladakh" or "Love and Let Go: The Story of Mr. Khan"

The story begins in Ladakh, a land of breathtaking beauty and serenity.

Once upon a time, there lived a kind-hearted and wonderful young man named Mr. Khan. He was from a small village in Ladakh and belonged to a middle-class family. This is the real story of Mr. Khan. He was known for his innocence and charm, but he did not have enough money to buy new clothes or live in a big house.

One day, he went to the market for window shopping, but he didn’t have enough money to fulfill all his desires. In his heart, he always felt lonely. Suddenly, he saw a girl—an extraordinarily beautiful girl, like a queen. The day was June 3rd.

He instantly fell in love with her. Three days later, he saw her again and decided to talk to her, but he couldn’t gather the courage. Fortunately, a week later, he saw her once more. This time, he finally met her and spoke to her. From that moment on, whenever he saw her, his face would light up with a smile. Their conversations gradually began, and they started getting to know each other.

A month later, he got her phone number and Instagram ID. One night, he decided to call her, but she didn’t answer at first. After multiple attempts, she finally picked up, and they talked for three to four hours continuously. From that night on, they would talk for hours every day.

One day, he made up his mind to propose to her. He woke up early, got ready, and went to the place where they usually met. After spending some time together, he finally expressed his feelings. She smiled and said, "Yes." The date was June 18th. It wasn’t easy for him, though—he had proposed to her four or five times before, but she had rejected him each time. Finally, she accepted his love. From then on, he cherished her deeply, and they spoke for hours daily.

Time passed quickly, and they had been in a relationship for a year. Mr. Khan loved her immensely and cared for her, but she did not feel the same way.

Then came the day that changed everything—August 19, 2019. Mr. Khan had to leave for Chandigarh to pursue his studies. He reached early in the morning from Leh and rested in his room, feeling lonely. A few hours later, she called him. After their conversation, he was shattered—completely broken.

She told him, "I love you, but I don’t want to be in a relationship with anyone."

He was stunned. "What did you just say?" he asked in disbelief. She repeated the same words over and over again.

Mr. Khan, heartbroken, asked her, "Why are you leaving me? Did I do something wrong?"

She replied, "No."

There was silence between them for a while. Then he softly asked, "Hello, my dear?" She responded, "Yes?"

"Why are you leaving me? Is there any reason?" he asked once more.

She finally admitted, "Khan, it’s true that I loved you, but because of this relationship, I am unable to focus on my studies. I can’t complete my projects on time, and I’m struggling academically."

Mr. Khan thought for a moment and, though deeply hurt, he accepted her decision. He decided not to call her again, but in his heart, he held onto the hope that she might return one day.

However, months passed, and she never called him. Whenever he tried to contact her, she never answered. Finally, after four months, reality struck him—she had lied to him all along.
